Generally, I rely on user comments/reviews on Shacknews. It's a large collection of gamers, so you're pretty much guaranteed that someone will get a copy and play it, and then comment about it. Worst case, I'll try using IGN or Gamespot, but their reviews always seem to be so biased that I just don't bother most of the time.

I read the player reviews on gamefaqs.com. There's multiple reviews and it's easy to navigate between the different reviews. They are reader reviews so sometimes they can be overly harsh for some stupid reason but you can go through the different reviews quickly and filter out the crap.

I think 25 to Life has been pushed back to Feb... I have no idea what its about, but I'm willing to bet it's a GTA clone.
