I'm not so sure if this video has been posted before but I feel that it is such a good video it should be shown twice!
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...31104479&q=ass (Don't know how to embed vids) Spoiler: What you just saw was a 15 hit parry by Ken, on Chun's super combo. For those who don't know, in order to parry you need to tap forward either high, mid, or low at the exact same time Chun's hit was about to land. Parries totally neglect the damage while as a block will do chip damage. OWNED! Last edited by dun_ask; 11-21-2005 at 01:02 AM.. |

Wait, I'm not sure I understand. So he didn't just parry once, right? Each time Chun was hitting he was parrying at the exact same time? Not like the initial parry blocked the entire attack?
Like, 10 freaking times in a row? <-- newb |

^ Yes, but more like 15 times in a row, including some crouching and jumping, then countering with a super combo of his own for the finish.
BTW, isn't that SFIII? The caption says SFII, but I don't think it is.

I havn't played street fighter much since the days of super nintendo but that was cool. The crowd going crazy really adds to it.

Seen it a long time ago. While thoroughly impressed, this isn't as amazing as one might think.
One must remember that a) daigo had loads of time to sit there waiting for the super combo b) this was taken at Evolution, one of THE top fighting game competitions in the world. Surely everyone there can parry pretty much anything if they know it's coming But yes, it is amazing and the level of concentration is incredible. For those who don't know, if you miss ONE parry, you are unable to parry the rest. As well, in the case of Chun Li's super, the timing changes on a few of the hits (unlike moves like Ryu's super fireball) There is a much more interesting video of the highlights of the Evolution tournament that they are selling as a DVD. If you download it, it includes the clip of daigo as well as many other jaw dropping feats. I could of swore I downloaded the video at shoryuken.com... but it seems to have changed into a forum only site. Or else i'm not looking hard enough.

Even though some of the games i've never played, I rather enjoy watching the strategies involved. In the trailer for Evo2004, there's a scene where someone beats another person flawlessly in Tekken 5 (I think). The amount of thinking behind that was incredible. Or it was an incredible fluke/mismatch
