Need for Speed - Most Wanted.
Anyone who is a fan of the NFS series should definetaly check this out. I have it for PC and the graphics are kick ass. The car detail keeps getting better and better. Plus there are cool in game cinematics along with CG cinematics. Its superb!!
Later.

Does it really do anything new, though? After being quite burned out by Burnout (ho ho ho!) reaching it's fifth incarnation (with a sixth on the way) and NFS not really impressing me lately, I'm in the market for something fun. This one hasn't particularly caught my eye, though.

I tried the demo for about 10 minutes or so and it just wasn't doing anything for me. The driving dynamics are terrible, the graphics are the same as the last Underground and as already stated the music made my ears burn.

I tried the demo - wasn't terribly impressed. "Hrm, I could drive a mustang, or a CRAZY TRICKED OUT MUSTANG WITH FIRE ON IT THATS SO MUCH BETTER" .. or I could do the same for the Porsche. The cops really weren't challenging at all, unless I did something stupid like drive headfirst into a wall.
I think I'll pass on it - Burnout was much more entertaining.

I haven't played Most Wanted, but was a bit disappointed in Underground. I really hate the tuner scene for the most part, and really wish they would steer away from it a bit. It's nice to have the option to tune out your car, but it shouldn't be manditory. You should have a more variety of car selection (not just the popular tuning cars), as well as less-lame looking body modifications. From the screenshots, I get the impression Most Wanted isn't much differant. Except for I have seen a couple BMWs, and thats always nice.
I wish the NFS would go back to their top of the line and up to date super-car style like a few of the past ones have been. Last edited by todd; 11-26-2005 at 08:18 PM.. |
