Shadowrun on Xbox 360
I was looking for info on Shadowrun for SNES on gamefaqs, and I saw this:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox...ta/929196.html which led me to find this: http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/8767/S...-the-Xbox-360/ Shadowrun on Xbox 360. Designed by FASA, who I'm pretty sure is owned by Microsoft now. This may be the game that makes me buy an Xbox 360, there are so many possibilities as to how awesome this can be. I wonder if they'll have any problems with the Matrix, like licensing issues and such, since a very successful movie trilogy was released under the same name. They say that the game will be an FPS in the article, and I really hope that it's not a true FPS and has role-playing elements like System Shock or Deus Ex or Vampire: Bloodlines... I never played the tabletop Shadowrun RPG, but I played the SNES and Genesis ones religiously, especially the Genesis one, which was supposedly truer to the tabletop rpg than the SNES version. If the Shadowrun on Xbox 360 is anything like them, that would be totally awesome. |

if this is true, then thats totally pushed me into getting a 360. I just picked up Shadowrun 4th and it rekindled my love affair with the Sixth World and Seattle
-note as cool as a mmorpg would be..I'd rather have it more like The Elder Scrolls than that pay as you play crap. |

I didn't think FASA owned the rights to Shadowrun anymore. But regardless, if this is true, it is awesome news. Shadowrun is one of the most fleshed out worlds in the RPG genre, and in my opinion, one of the greatest liscences for both games and movies. If the table top version had gained as much noteriety as D&D, this would already be a huge franchise in both medias.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Search for "Shadowrun" on these forums and you'll probably see my posts wishing for a sequel to this game. Sucks I'm gonna have to shell out the money for a 360, though. Was hoping to just get the Revolution and stick with it. But this is the holy grail of hopeful games for me. I must play it!

I think something like a cross between Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and the genesis shadowrun would be perfection...
Especially if the developer doesn't go out of business and stop making patches for their really buggy game (poor Troika ) |

Hey Neverborn, I haven't seen 4e yet. I heard they made some huge changes. Care to run a few of them by us? Thanks.

Ahh, I remember now. There's a Neverwinter Nights mod in the works.
