Just out of the curiousity, when is PS3 set to be released?

When Sony's good and ready, I imagine. I wouldn't expect it before the Revolution, by any means.

I am thoroughly unimpressed with the launch titles, and frankly, not many good reviews so far either. Even if I had the $550 for the system, 2 games plus tax, I wouldn't get it tomorrow

Agreed, and I just learned today one of two launch titles I wanted, Elder Scrolls, got pushed back to Dec.

550! Holy crap, it's going for 400 bucks up in Canada at the local best buy and that's Canadian! Not American

I waited in line with my buddy for 7 hours tonight. There were 7 people in line at the time for 18 Boxes. Bunch of people showed up at the end, we feared for our lives.

Madden kicks ass, haven't played any other games yet.

There were a shitload still for sale at Wal Mart when I went at 1am last night, and barely anyone in the store. Certainly nobody waiting in line.

Then when I was driving to the airport this morning I saw about 30 people lined up outside of Best Buy... Suckers.

People on ebay are buying these things up for $2000+

I woulda waited 16 hrs to cash in on people with money to burn, but certainly not to keep one. The launch titles (from all the reviews I've read) seem rather mediocre. I think the only one that might spark my interest is Perfect Dark Zero.

...but "Peter Jackson's King Kong"? Hahaha... that and Quake 4 woulda been a good selling point, but it's turning out to be a flop.

I'm not saying the games are *bad*, I'm just saying it's really more of the same with updated eye candy. Had they been smart, they would've released it with Halo 3 or the next GTA installment (or anything along the lines of a popular title).

PD Zero is somewhat of a return to form by Rare, but considering it took so many years to make, I doubt the sequel will be along anytime soon. Well, I'll be happy playing the original once the Rev hits

I am unimpressed with the backwards compatible titles a this point in time. None of my favorites are on the list. No Splinter Cell, no Burnout, no Psychonauts no Dead or Alive. I'll definitely be waiting.

For anyone interested, the list is:

Backwards Compatible Games

true, I just noticed that but others are going for $3000 which is still really ridiculous.

You mean those "Buy It Now" bids for like 19 Grand?
I'm hoping those are just people being silly and aren't really hoping someone will pay that much.

There's no way I'm going to buy a 360 any time soon. 1) I'm pissed off at Microsoft for limiting their shipments just to up demand. 2) I'm sick and tired of hearing about it on Power 106. 3) The launch titles aren't impressive at all. and 4) I'll just stick to my XBOX w/ upgraded 200GB HDD; No discs; No loading times. Can't beat that.
