madden 06 (pc)
So I bought the game, I'm into the start of my third season already.
a few questions/grievances I have. 1) QB Vision is STUPID but without QB Vision on, you can't use total control passing f'n ridiculous. 2) why do all offensive lines blow in this game? I've made some trades and did a lot of work in training camp to make sure I have two guards, two tackles and a center who are all in the high 90s and i'm still in the top 10 in sacks allowed when i barely throw the ball 25 times a game. 3) is there no way to slide with the quarterback when you're scrambling? I've scoured the manual and i see no sign of sliding. 4) the DBs have super-ball deflecting skills. Both pc and computer players. My dbs that I don't control and the computer DBs can come out of nowhere and deflect any ball within a 10 mile vicinity. Fernando Bryant and Dre Bly accumulated 26 ints combined on all-pro. 5) This is less of a gripe and more of a comedic announcement: prior to the 2007 season (in the game) the san diego chargers moved to la and named themselves the vipers and now they have dark green and puke yellow jerseys. 6) create-a-team (specifically the create a stadium mode) is ridiculous. hardly any choices for everything. I guess I'm not entirely upset with it because I still play it. I just think EA needs to put more effort into their next installment. Comments/Concerns?

Exactly, I hate it that EA has exclusive rights to the NFL now... it's just no good. I really liked NFL2k5 last year, I thought it was a great game, did some things better than EA and some things less so, but definitely competition for Madden. Like Nik said, they don't necessarily HAVE to make it better, so I don't know how much better it'll get... sad times. By the way Nik, Go Wings!

I stopped buying the franchise in 1995... hated buying for small little improvements here and there. When I got my Xbox modded I played it for a bit, and was amazed at the graphics but underwhelmed at the fun factor.
I just can't seem to get back into it. I'll try this one again.

good to see two red wings fans here!
The problem with the ESPN franchise is that they don't make a version for the PC (the only place i play games) Until they creat a console where i don't have to competely replace it every four years I'll stick to my pc where I have to replace minute things every five years or so and can still play the games on AND use it for school/homework/papers/intarweb.
