Unfortunately, I have a sneaking (okay a huge) suspicion that Doom is going to suck monkey balls.

Hmmm, I was under the impression that Doom 3 was good?

But no, I got my suspicion from seeing Mr Cheese himself, aka the Rock, in a commercial for the movie.

The Metal Gear Solid series... surely the Rock can be Colonel Volgin, Vulcan Raven and Solidus Snake....
Orlando Bloom could be Raiden for sure..
Hugh Jackman could be Big Boss and Solid Snake..
you figure out the rest.

I don't know the plot might blow, but the graphics look amazing. And its got 3 stars so far so it can't be that bad!

For the film's sake, 'X' will not stand for 10, but for extreme (to the max)

As for Metal Gear Solid, it should never be made a movie. It's better as it is. It is already a cinematic experience (masterpiece). Making it a movie would only cheapen it. The only way I'd accept it is if it were another chapter in the story, and Kojima directed. Never happen in Hollywood though...

Charlie Sheen in HL? Do you really want it to be a comedy?

Give me William H. Macy as Gordon Freeman. Yeah, he's not as young, but I think he'd bring alot to the character.

I know that the game primal had a very average control system and the only reason to play it was to get from cut scene to cut scene, but I think the characters and story itself was awesome. If they made a few decent sequels similar to god of war, then i'm sure that would warrant a movie at some stage.

I say have Peter Jackson do a Zelda movie and see where it goes. He already proved himself with LOR, this will just be a different story line. Not sure who the actors would be though.

LOL, Orlando Bloom with elfy ears and make up all over again. And dressed like Peter Pan.
But I'm not sure how interesting a Zelda movie would be. Its just an awesome gameplay game. Not so much a cinematic experience... I can hardly imagine how boring Ganondorf's plans to take over the world would be, with his evil speeches and all.
I don't think it could be turned in a movie.

Indeed, trying to compress the story down into 2 hours would leave a cliché mess. The beauty is in the subtlety.

Star Wars Battlefront.....wait...

I'd be interested in a Splinter Cell movie, but hollywood would probably screw it up. I'd say Starcraft, but I couldn't stand Starship Troopers.

Maybe Homeworld 2.

One thing for sure is no Zombie video game (like House of the Dead) should be turned into a movie. Its always a load of crap.
Jurassic park should be turned into a game.. Like a cool adventure game. Not a park manager thing.
Perfect Dark maybe? Although it'd seem sort of cheesy, they had really cool weapons in the game.
GTA is basically movies turned into games without asking permission (but I love it), so turning that into a movie would be problematic.
I don't know if any game would make a good movie.
