Can't believe I havent seen this as a thread yet.. forgive me if I missed it, but the 360 will street on Nov 22.

I think some of the buzz has died down cuz we really haven't been bowled over by that killer app. Me...I'm getting one, as well as all the other next-gen systems, but I haven't seen that "ohmigod...welcome to the next-generation!" game yet.
So far..only elder scrolls has peaked my interests.

Yeah, none of the 360 games look (yes, I said LOOK) that much better than current XBox games, so I'm not really excited about it. There are a few great looking games, but next-gen systems are supposed to have next-gen graphics, and a large majority of the 360's games do not. I'll be buying it anyway, however, because I like to stay away from fanboys with their cognitive dissonance about which system they had enough money to buy. I'm sure there will be at least one must-have game for the system, and that's enough for me to buy it, even if there's none at launch.

it's hard to believe the next gen is only a couple months away. i'm curious to see the next xbox... but not excited.
i'll admit i'm a nintendo fan, but i've owned a ps2 and xbox at one time or another (they both broke despite getting 1/4 the play time of my gamecube). the majority of sony and ms exclusives don't interest me. i'll give the 360 a fair shake... but it will need to exceed my expectations for me to plunk down all that money for what seems to be only a graphical facelift.

Do you guys think that the 360 will trump the Playstation 3? Seems like they really have their sh*t together this time.

You know, I hear a lot of you saying things about how you are so unimpressed by this system, yet you are all saying that you will get one. Some so much as to get it at midnight on the 22nd.
How is this in any way showing dissatisfaction with the advances made by this system?? All Microsoft is going to see is the massive sales they are going to get from this system and then they will continue on in the same manner. If you are truely that disappointed then why buy it? Me, I'm going to buy it. However I've never once complained about it. I think it's a cool system, and it will have some fun kickass games. Definitely a solid system worth the price. When it is released it will be the best on the market. Sounds pretty fun to me....

I probably won't buy it as soon as it's released.
There just aren't any launch titles I'm particularly excited about. Kameo looks nice; as does the new Perfect Dark, but that's about it. So, I'll probably save up a bit, see how the hard drive thing works out and then buy one.

Will it be markedly better than any system out now? Most assuredly!! Will it be better the the ps3?.. like I said can't tell til the ps3 ships. I'm not disappointed with the system, just teh way MS has promoted and priced it. PS I also see that most new games will be US $60... was hoping that wouldn't happen yet. damn.

Another cruel move Microsoft might pull is to lower the price of the 360 right before the PS3 launches. Microsoft will probably hope for a later launch as to get more revenue and they will probably not announce the lower price until a day before it happens. I am sure that would influence a lot of potential PS3 buyers.

I think we all agree- it's all about the games.

I saw the Xbox360 and the PS3 at the Tokyo game show.
PS3 was all pictures and FMV a.k.a. bullshit. The xbox 360 was crazy, some of their games look really hot. I don't remember the name of the mech game, but it was very impressive. Xbox had a hot setup too, they set up lots of couches and tvs, it looked like living rooms. And at each one, they sat a person down and a hot Xbox girl comes over and tells you how to play the game. Nintendo didn't have a public booth, so I don't know so much about rev. PS, I saw Final Fantasy on the Xbox, now that is a big boon for the 360.

i really didnt realize that the release was coming up so quick,
i have seriously thought about getting a 360 but just like what alot of people are saying its about the games, and thats probably why i'll wait to get one, to see if there the real deal, i wonder how long it will take for the price to drop? hopefully its not like the original ps2 relase where if you didnt get it the first day you werent going to get it for like 3-4 weeks due to avaliabilty... well better start working some overtime so i can have some money to buy more than just the basic, and probably need some more overtime to pay for those damn $60 games now OUCH

Oblivion is all I have to say about the matter. I've been waiting a LONG time for that game. I'm buying 360 and Oblivion solely for the purpose of becoming a shut in this winter. Anybody who was into Morrowind knows what I'm talkin about.

I can't believe the next generation is upon us. It seems not to long ago that I had just brought home the Xbox and fired up Halo for the first time.
I'm really riding the fence right now. Its difficult to put out $400 when you haven't had a chance to see any of the other systems in action. I really don't have the entertainment setup to do the Xbox 360 justice. But, Gears of War and Morrowind sure look sweet. |

well i just pre ordered mine (and its not a bundle to! just the system)
i was hoping on wining it from that "win every hour contest" since i know a few people who got lucky .... but no luck the store actually gave me a xbox360 hat that i have to wear on the launch date because they expect a shortage and people who wear the hats get a system first before other people who pre ordered but did not get a hat (so basically people who pre order ealry get a hat). it should be interesting seeing how well this will turn out on launch day....there will be problems |

Wow. I've been looking at the latest videos...and DAMN, did those Beta kits make a difference. The 360 games look a hell of a lot better now...every single one of them. I'm excited about the 360 now. Some of the games simply look amazing. Here's to hoping the launch has some killer apps.
