Definately an amazing game on the PC, the lighting effects are to die for.
My brother bought the PS2 version which isn't so glamorous but it boasts extra levels and redone cinematics of higher quality but they aren't as moving as the originals with the newflashes. The PC and X-box versions are the best imho. |

I *just* finished SC on PC as in, 2 mins ago.
The game absolutely rocks. I love the way it gets frantic and un-sneaky at the end. I don't wanna say too much to spoil it for others... but yeah it was damn cool. I had a few problems with savegames on the PC version... i'd save, then close SC, open it again and it would downright refuse to load my quicksave. I'd have to resort back to the previous manual save. So i ended up saving manually instead of using quicksave. However it was made up for by unparralleled graphics (really... nothing actually released beats it at the moment), beautiful locations (the oil rig! the motherf**king oil rig! orange sky! real water!) and brilliantly thought out gameplay. As well as Paul Ironside providing that low growly voice. heh.

Michael Ironside drifting_away, not Paul
But I agree, the oil rig level makes your jaw drop to the ground... the beautiful sunset colours, the amazinv shadows, an frick, the shadows drawn on Sam when he goes near a mesh wire fence... out-fucking-standing. |
