help with alone in the dark 1
So I bought alone in the dark 1 on ebay, all 4 floppies worth :-)
Problem is everytime it starts up I first of all can't do a harddrive install, it is grayed out. Secondly, it asks everytime for the 2 pictures from some random page in the matchbook sized book that comes with the game. I have this but it is a major pain everytime I wanna play. Anybody know how to work around these problems? I am using dosbox under windows to run it.

I had my eye on the AITD Trilogy on ebay however the seller notified me that it would not run under XP at all and that they knew of no patches. If you have tried dosbox and compatability mode I think you may be out of luck. Could always buy an old PC from ebay on the cheap that will run it? |

you can download the game, a walkthrough, and manual there and find a long discussion about it. |
