What Sims expansions would you like to see?

I'd like to see a Religion pack. It's an area of real life that isn't addressed in Sims, and I think you could have fun with it. Let Sims ignore the question, or choose a religion to pursue (I'd put in Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Wiccan, Atheist). Build churches/mosques/synagogues as community buildings where you can build fun, comfort, and social skills. Maybe include some kind of religious leader career path.

Of course, it'd have to be done with a sense of humor, which always guarantees someone will be annoyed. But I'd buy it.

What would you request for the next Sims add-on?

lol.. thats kinda funny, never thought of that one..

I'd go with something probably more althletic and interactive, bring a sports aspect to the game.. like put your sim in NHL2006 or something hehe.. Or something involving jobs like in the The Urbz where you actually have to earn your own money.

Think those could be kinda cool..

It's been AGES since I've seen the Sims games.. but do they have a Sims: Jobs yet? I'd actually like to see my Sim working.. not just dissapearing and coming back later with money..

Like I said, it's been a while .. so forgive the ignorance if they did this in Sims 2..

Would that religious add on also include Cults? It would be cool to have Sim interventions...

Your mention of cults made me think of another expansion I'd like to see.. Sim: Addiction. I'd love to be able to get my Sim addicted to coke -- watch his drug deals go bad, watch him forget his job and oversleep, watch him ruin his relationships and life with drugs.. and then maybe watch him come out of it.

Vicarious learning, if you will.

Jinnkai, I can make my sim forget his job, oversleep and ruin his relationships just by removing the bathroom door.

I'd like to see better use of angles and maybe a smaller grind to place items on. Have you ever tried centering a 3 square couch with a 2 square TV? I love to use angles and being able to put doors/windows at an angle is nice but would it be so hard to turn objects at a 45 degree angle?

I like to build houses with different floor and ceiling heights but it's impossible because a wall on a foundation cannot connect to a wall on the ground. It's be great if there were stackable 1ft high raised flooring that sims could step up on without having to use stairs.

Also.. wouldn't it be a little more realistic if you could get pregnant from regular "WooHoo" if your logic wasnt high enough to use "Try for Baby"

Actually, it is hard to put objects at a 45 degree angle. The code base that the game is based on is pretty old. At least, for the first Sims. Not sure about Sims 2, since I can't get that shit to install on my comp.

In addition, each object would need 3 or 4 new frames of art. That's far from trivial.

I'd like a nuclear holocaust expansion pack so I can kill all the sims to ensure that no more expansion packs are ever made :P.

How about one where you run a crack den out of your Sim's house, bring over hookers - some of whom die on the process, spawning a police investigation and lengthy jail time?

I'd buy it.

Sims: Revolutionaries

let your Sims live in world where the political/economical/social environs are a variable. choose communism and have near-guaranteed income, but watch its effect on your community and relations. choose anarchy and let your sims experience their lives without the rule of law. laissez-faire capitalism where they can amass wealth at extraordinary speeds, but with the possibility of ending up in the gutter the next day.

if the Sims not doing well in a specific socioeconomic model, they could band together with other like-minded Sims to revolt... or quell a revolt sparked by other Sims if they're doing well.

it could be interesting.
