HL2 takes place in Poland!
 

I have been getting interested in exploring abandoned building lately, so i've been doing some research on the web. I came across a nice site about exploring places in Poland. As i'm looking at pictures from an abandoned factory, i think to myself 'wow, some of these buildings would look great in a HL2 map! then I came across one picture that looked awfully familiar.

the more i looked at other pictures in the group I noticed there were ALOT of textures taken from a vast majority of these photos.

It was kinda creepy. for you mappers or anyone who has been a little too intimate with the Gary's mod ;) should know alot of the textures in game.

The building next to the circled one also looks familiar. They did say it took place in EASTERN Europe so poland certainly is a possibility.

yea, tommorrow I will post screenies of the actual buildings in game. I think they just ripped off the buildings from this site :)
