PSP 1.5 - New EMulator program
 

KXploit has just been released, tried and tested.

With this new download comes another program to convert your
emulators, and a pdf guide showing you how to use the program, and how
to manually do it yourself.

Rather than having to swap your memory sticks the second eboot.pbp
file is put in a folder with the same name as the first but a % on the
end.

I'd just like to get a good list of emulators and stuff so I could actualy play something kool on it.

Right now all I see is a bunch of homebrew games like PONG. Not actualy making my PSP more useful or fun...

there are many emulators out there for the snes and sega genesis and even a GBA one, just search a bit.

After trying this at least 5 times and getting that same error, I decided to look around and found KXploit at psp-hacks.com. That page walked me through everything (I've never messed with emulators at all) and it was relatively simple. The most time consuming part is finding the ROMS, but I found a site last night that I was getting them from (I can't remember the site now, and I can't look in my history because I'm at work).

In any case, I got a NES and a SNES emulator, and am trying to fill them up with games. Tonight I'll probably see what other emulators I can/want to put on there.

By the way, since I've never done this, I just thought I'd point out that this is the coolest thing ever, and I'll be playing my PSP alot more with these on there!

So will snes9x work with this? And will it work with .SMC roms?

psp-hacks.com has (IMO) the easiest to understand and best availability of PSP hacks on their site. I downloaded KXploit as well as NesterJ and uo_snes9x and everything works... well, except for the SNES emu. Not all games will work correctly with SNES. Despite tweaking all the available settings, I still can't get Mario Kart or Final Fantasy III/6 to work correctly.

Give it some time, and SNES emu's will work correctly. There's rumors of a PSX emulator in development, but I haven't kept on top of that one...

I was able to get the snes and gba emulators working but can't find any sites where I can actually dl the roms. Anyone have any suggestions?

That's where I got a bunch of mine. It says you have to vote for the site or the files will be corrupt, but all mine work fine and I didn't vote once.

On a side-note, I can't seem to get the Genesis emulator to work. When I put it on and try to get into it my screen goes red, and I have to quit out of it. Anyone know where I can get one since the one at psp-hacks doesn't seem to want to work for my PSP?

PSPupdates.com has all the latest emulators and news about the PSP. however they will not post tutorials,links to where to get ROM files as well as how to do the WAB Launcher w/ no UMD
