Anyone hear the details on The Warriors game for PS2? Such a great movie, I hope the game is worthy enough.

Games based on movies tend to suck just as much as movies based on games, Final Fantays, Alone in the dark, Resident Evil, The Punisher, Wind Commander, The House of the Dead, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Double Dragon,Upcomming DOOM III, DOA, etc. etc. etc.

This one i feel will go the same way.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within ----- good movie
Mortal Kombat ------ good movie
Resident Evil (and sequel) ------- good movies

I'm sketchy on Wing Commander. I for one thought it was a decent movie, but this is because I've been playing the Wing Commander series literally since the first game, so I was an original Wing Commander fan. I thought they did justice to the Kilrathi.

So, per MY opinion, the video game movie's haven't been a total loss.

As for The Warriors...well..I haven't seen it, so I wouldn't know what to base it on, but since Rockstar is doing it, it can't be that bad

That movie is badass. I had no idea they were making into a game. Rival gangs fighting each other in the late 70's ,80's? I dont remember the time frame.

Anyone have linkage to the game?

I didn't like the 1st RE for some reason, but I do enjoy RE: Apocalypse

I mean, I bought the UMD for my PSP

This isn't really the typical "game based off of movie", most games that are based off of movies are based off of recently released movies in order to cash in on the popularity of the movie or franchise at the time... Rockstar is making a game based off of a 25 year old movie that I, and probably many other people, have never seen or heard of, and it's probably going to be pretty awesome.

There is a remake of this classic movie in the works too... no doubt the game will build anticipation for that. I'm not that big a fan of the "brawling" game genre but I'll probably give it a rent since I love the movie.
