Stargate SG1: The Alliance
BEWARE OF SPOILERS!
http://www.gateworld.net/videogames/...3trailer.shtml All i have to saw is wow! The game looks absoloutly amazing, the fact that they used the cast members voices is so cool, it's going to make gameplay so much more fun... For those of you that don't know, SG1:Alliance is the first big computer game for Stargate. It's been in the pipeline a fair while, but it's been kicked up a notch recently with some serious money from investors (e.g. Namco is now taking a part in the advertising) and the cast being involved with voicing. It's going to be an amazing game, i'm all giddy and excited! ![]()

It does look promising. I can only hope they do more justice to it than Simon and Schuster did to Farscape's game. I still shiver in disgust when playing that monstrosity.

Knew about this a while ago, after playing NFH 1 and 2 I decided to take a look around JoWooDs site, some interesting stuff in there but this really caught my eye. Was only thinking about it the other day, definetly looking forward to it, but am definetly going to need an upgrade

I was reading my friends official x-box magazine recently, the game developers said that we would be seeing the furlings!

I guess as long as the show doesn't stick the furlings in, and they look completely different than they did in the game (ie that ancient on the stupid stargate cartoon), I wouldn't mind that so much. This is the classic SG1 team, right? Not the new one? Edit: I watched the trailer, nevermind... Nice!

Interesting news, apparently work has been suspended.
from http://press.jowood.com/html/News/ne...EWS&bereich=61 JoWooD terminates development agreement with Perception Rottenmann, Austria, 5th of August 2005; JoWooD regrets to be forced to cancel the development agreement with Perception, the Australian developer currently responsible for the Stargate-SG1: The AllianceTM license title. “The title in its current form, initially scheduled for an October 2005 release, does satisfy neither our quality requirements nor the fans expectations. We will not release anything that does not do justice to this well known license” says Albert Seidl, CEO JoWooD Productions Software AG. “In recent months we have invested a lot of time and resources in helping Perception finish the development, but we now simply have lost confidence in their ability to finish this project in time and sufficient quality.” Following the termination JoWooD has asked for repayment of their investment in development and further expenses. According to our reading of the contract the rights to the title as well as the source code are transferred to JoWooD“. After delivery of the code and assets JoWooD will review the possibility of seeking out developers if it is economically viable to finish the title” reports Michael Paeck, Executive Producer for JoWooD Productions Software AG. “We are, however, not prepared to release anything but a top quality title. Fans of the show as well as gamers would not accept anything less. There are several options to consider, among them potentially moving to next-gen consoles for the title.” "
