Alright, it looks like the Boone, NC contingent has me beat. I actually can't remember the MGS1 and 2 trailers offhand, though now that I think about it, MGS3 did look like the trailers I saw. I just got significantly more excited for the game. Thanks for setting me straight!

It's been confirmed as in-game. My planned mix of Rev and PS3 is looking sah-weeet.

just a quick curiousity. Have any of the metal gear solids surpassed the first one...sales-wise. remember seeing ads all over the place when MGS1 came out, and it was game of the year and blah blah blah, i havn't seen any hype/commercial super mainstream excitement since the initial one. Are we just the freaks that love following Snake's bouncy mullet in Third Person View? I probibly should have googled it first but does anyone know the volume at which the three versions sold?

I'm a gigantic fan of the MGS series - I got hooked on MGS2, then I bought MGS2:S, then MGS:TS, and MGS3... and I know I'll buy MGS3:S to play online - that will waste away every second of free time I'll ever have.
Looking at the trailer for MGS4, I'm pretty excited - I don't know what yet to think about an older Snake, but the graphics are quite excellent. I've got faith it'll come out great - just need to start saving for that PS3 now

Older Snake, younger snake...w/e. I think I saw snake doing CQC with an assault rifle on the video..so who cares about the corny Metal Gear Flaccid jokes?
I personally can't wait...The armies stepping loudly, the mini metal gear bipedal machines...the story probably more confusing than ever..Snake being used and abused as a soldier for the 47th time ("what are you not telling me, colonel?").. all in all, looks like a kickass game. |

Poor planning on Konami's part. Almost a half hour after when this was supposed to launch, and it still isn't up and running. For shame
