zbattle.net - playing classic SNES games over the net.

Anyone play?

All you need it is to download ZSNES emulator and zbattle.net software. Its super easy and free.

It was fun playing mario kart battle mode with people across the world! I got my ass kicked but its still fun :P

Also co-op games are alot of fun, like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4, or Final Fight 3. You could even get a buddy and play RPG's like Secret of Mana together.

Only drawback is its only 2 player support, so no 4 players games. But still cool!

Also, you both need the same version of whatever ROM you are going to play.

Sounds very promising. Is there a good community for it?

I.e people online at all times?

Co-op Final Fight does sound good.

Yeah theres usually like 10 or so games going on that are public. It's alot of fun to play with a friend though, instead of just some random. But either way SNES kicks ass

My ability on that game will be = terrible.

Havent played Contra since I had a Gameboy (I think thats what it was for) but I remember it being near impossible.

Good luck

Without save states in emulation I would be even worse. Playing the old games reminds me how much harder they were. Even going back to the old Spectrum games, I bet noone has ever come close to completing Manic Miner or Jet Set Willy.

Anyway, back on topic....

Is there an online mode for Unirally or was it called Uniracer?
