Action Replay Xbox
My buddy was telling me about this whole Action Replay device that hooks into your computer and you can download other peoples saved games and what not from the internet onto your own memory cards. I know this has probably been around for some time now but Im just now hearing about it. I was really just wondering if anyone here had the device and how happy they are with it. I tried to go onto the site and see what all games it has downloads for and it wouldn't let me in without a login/password. I really just wanted to see if it has downloads for most of the games I have or just a limited amount of games. Also I was wanting to know if you download a file for a game you have, will your previous saved games be deleted or overwritten or will it just make a whole new saved game?? Because there are games I have already saved to my hard drive that I wouldn't want to lose. If anyone could help me out with some info or just give me your own personal feed back that'd be awesome, thanks.

ive never heard of this.. but i know with a mod chip, you can just copy the save games and throw them on other modded xboxes just like you were any normal computer... or you could dl these games, onto your xbox and just put them onto your memory card.. if you have a mod chip process would be alot easier..
and about the over writing.. I would think that would have to depend on the game.. if that game allows multisaves im sure there would not be a problem as long as you renamed the file and did not overwrite and old one. Hope this helps. |
In somegames it does overwrite what you have saved "if the game only allows one profile"
I have used it to update rosters in the NHL/NFL line of EA games. Many times thay have 0 day release saves for games. Its not the the gamesharks of old that gave you unlimited ammo or health But it does what its supposed to do. Plus i got it on a clearence rack at target for 5 bucks so it was a steal. |
A modded xbox with internet connection allows almost instant access to saved games that automatically d'l when selected. Only concern is too make sure that you know if your PAL or NTSC. Yes, chipped is the way.

i hope you get a switch to turn off the chip b/c ur XBL account will be banned on that xbox.

even with the switch you can still be banned as people found out with halo2...
as far as the PAL/NTSC variations... I have never distinguished and just play whichever I find... and don't have any problems. |
