The D-Link Gigabit Gaming Router
http://games.dlink.com/products/?pid=370
I just bought this last week cause I need to upgrade my old "b" router to a "g" and I had read the reviews. I must say they are right. This router kicks ass. What makes this a gaming router is that if you have someone that wants to download while you wanna play a game online you can do it now without lag. The router will sense load coming from a pc and direct a large share of the bandwidth to that system. I tried it today with HL2 while my daughter was downloading on Limewire. I got a steady ping/latency of 32. I did notice a few spikes but nothing game stopping. Anyhow im not good at writing reviews but I recommend this if you game and have a busy home network.

Yeah, it got a good review from PC Gamer, too. If other people in my house ever used the internet, I'd probably pick one of these up. But since they don't, I'm the only one sucking up the bandwidth -- usually with Azureus.

You can set up different apps. There is a setting for BitTorrent in there
I haven't tried to download and play on the same machine yet but I'd imagine you could.
