Chess on LAN
there r dozens of programs that can let me play chess on lan using windows
is there any free prog for linux doing the same? i tried gnuchess but its 1 player only....no networking options some other progs work only with international fixed servers i would prefer it to have options for output on terminal and X

coz noone here has the 'tempo' to do anything more than lift a finger to do anything laborious
only way is to play on lan...plus i have a new linux server under my control....so making a 24/7 chess server doesnt sound too bad.

atlanticchess is pretty cool, there are a bunch of variants for chess and they have tournaments you can play in. Timed moves too, it emails you when it is your turn to go.
Haven't played there in quite some time, maybe I'll pick it back up a bit.
