Everquest 2: free demo, no credit card required
I know there are some other EQ2 threads, but I wanted people to know about the demo for EQ2. It's a big download, took me about an hour and half on cable, but it was well worth it. This game has the most immersive opening I have ever played in an mmorpg and the graphics are simply amazing. The story for the game is actually interesting and since all the characters actually have voices it makes the game that more immersive. The gameplay has improved quite a bit, but some things have been oversimplified. It almost makes the game too easy. I started as a warrior and I had no problem fighting enemies. Throughout the time I played I died once and I was being extremely careless. Still a cool game though and worth giving it a shot.
Keep in mind that you can only get to level 6 in the demo and you can't leave the newbie island. Last edited by Xiangsu; 04-08-2005 at 10:10 AM.. |

I gotta say, I love this. I run a guild in EQ2, and we've picked up tons of people that were playing WoW, tried the Trial of the Isle, and switched.
I mean, it gives a great idea of what the game is about. And do NOT judge the class based on the isle, its designed for people with NO mmorpg experience whatsoever, the learning curve gets MUCH steeper.

I downloaded this but haven't installed it yet. I want to just experience the difference between EQ1 and EQ2. I played EQ1 for about a full year. I haven't bought EQ2 even though I really want to because I value my marriage!
