A PS2 Dilemma....
 

For some odd reason my PS2 started flashing red and green on the power button. Looking in the manual this says that the system had a fault and you should let the unit cool down and resuem play. The thing is, it never got hot. And it's been a couple days and it still has a fault. I pretty much assume that it's shot. But I can't for the life of me figure out why it happened. Has anybody else had this?

Have you tried calling Sony? Has your warranty expired? Sorry I've never heard of this happening.

Sony has a 90-day mfg. warranty on their units, same as MS and Nintendo. Usually they are pretty expensive to repair. I might suggest just paying the $150 to get a new one.

Yeah, your best bet would be to call Sony. When I have dealt with them they have always been very fast and responsive.
