Xbox Multi-player FPS Recommendations Needed
Hello,
I don't personally have an XBox at home and I haven't purchased a video game for my PC in years (kids get in the way of free time ). But at work we have several Xbox's that are currently networked and a large group of us have been playing Halo 2 multiplayer (Slayer) for a while now. Some of us are getting bored and I'm looking to find out if there are any other games out there that would provide the same type (and similar quality) of muliplayer shooting game that Halo 2 has provided. We usually have at least 8 people playing but if it could go higher we can always get more cables (the company has 4 xboxes). Any ideas? As I said I really have no idea what's out there these days... Thanks for any recommendations! Cubby.

Dude! Where do you work that they don't mind you hooking up Xbox(s) over the company network? Are they taking applications?
If it is a game design company I could understand.

I never said the Xbox's were hooked up over the company network. They are linked only to each other in the "Family Room"--which has 4 xboxes (4 tvs), a pool table, bubble hockey, air hockey and 2 foozball tables. Outside we have a putting green and basketball court. We are a software company but definitely not in the game design industry.
If we were linked up to the web we could access Xbox Live (although who would pay would be a question) but still that would add a little variety to Halo 2.

From, my view, their definately ISNT another good multiplayer shooter where you can play 16 ppl on 4 xboxes, there are plenty of them where you can play 1 person per xbox. so up 4 ppl max, the closest thing to halo is probably Brute Force, alot of people enjoyed it, I really didn't. So I'd say your best bet is to stick with halo for the 16 player action, but if you have only 4 ppl, you should try the Greg Hasting's Tournament Paintball, that game is pretty fun.. yea so best idea, play foozball for a while until you want to play halo again :P

If your company doesn't mind (which I'm certain they will ), try tossing Unreal Tournament on the PCs. You're already networked... Since I doubt they'll like that, you could have everyone bring in their laptops.
Or for something different, you could try Fusion Frenzy. It's a multiplayer (only 1 Box, though) game similar to Mario Party. |

Timesplitters:Future Perfect is out now, or it shall be out soon. Anyway, it's supposed to be a great FPS for just a group of ppl looking for frantic fun.
