NBA live 2005 question

for those that play this game i have a question

i have not played live in since 99 but i have played the nba 2k's and i want to know is there an option to allow the computer to make substitutions for you? i remember in one of the nba 2k's (or is it all) the computer has the ability to sub in players whenever there is a person that is tired/in foul trouble for you ….so i am wondering if live 2005 has that option?? I checked for it but I dunno if there is one o

Thanks

yep it's there, although a little convoluted and unobvious!

go into the gameplay settings and the first section is for Global Sliders and you'll see all the gameplay sliders (like gamespeed, free throw difficulty.. etc)

you need to browse across to the User section of gameplay, note that there's also a CPU Slider section which you can browse to as well.

anyway, in the User slider section, go to User Substitution Frequency: and set it to 50 for auto-subs. at 0 it is up to the users discretion for substitutions, but set at 50 it'll do subs for foul and fatigue trouble, etc.

i hvae this on Xbox, but i doubt the menus change at all between the different platforms...

Also here is a general gameplay settings for the most realistic gameplay:

I wish they would come out with the college equivalents of EA Sports games for PC. I am not much interested in the NBA but would love to play as the Arizona Wildcats for a couple seasons and play in the tourney in a game. That would rock. I am not going to throw down for a console though.

Thanks. This really helped me out. Thing is I play 6 minute quarters. Oh well.

I don't like college basketball games particularly because it has fictional players. Like in ESPN College Hoops 2K5, you can't use Emeka Okafor and Ben Gordon when you pick UConn, or you can't use Josh Childress on Stanford (even though he's on the front cover).
