Any Legendary Stars here?
I've recently started my escapade through the legendary campaign mode of Halo 2. I'm just wondering how many people have beaten it and if so how did you get past the final gondolas in regret when 2 banshees come at you and the other gondola has flying elites and grunts with fuel rod cannons

I managed most of Halo 2 on Legendary. Stay under cover from the banshees while you focus on the other gondola. It's been a while, so I can't really be too descriptive. Focus your fire on the elites, starting with a barrage of grenades. A tactic I've used with the grenades is tossing a plasma grenade on the floor to the rear/left of an elite, then tossing a frag to the front/right of him. The AI gets jammed trying to dodge both, and since the plasma grenade takes slightly longer to explode, they end up going off pretty much simultaneously. Anyway, after you've killed the elites on the gondola, finish off the grunts then use their fuel rod cannons against the banshees.

Sounds like sound strategy.
Personally, I can't get past the first level on legendary. I have beat the game on heroic, but it was in co-op mode. There are a few really good FAQs at GameFAQs.com. I've seen people speak highly of tomrace and his FAQ on the boards there. Here's what he has to say about where you're at... Quote:
