PA Dupes the Ignorant

I have lost faith in a lot of my fellow gamers today... I seriously can't believe people would ACTUALLY believe a very poorly conceived prank by ctrl-alt-del and PA concerning Penny-Arcade monopolizing online comics

Basically translated from "lawyerese", this means that from here on out, Penny Arcade will be the only licensed purveyor of video game humor.

Obviously this comes as quite a blow to Ctrl+Alt+Del, as we here have made our living based off of poking fun at electronic media in all of its forms. Unfortunately the law is the law, and even us independant webcomic artists have to follow it.

Rather than go quietly into the night, I'd like to announce a change of direction for Ctrl+Alt+Del, whereby I plan to take webcomics where they have never gone before. From now on, CAD will focus around two roommates and their love of curtain rods, and the many wacky adventures that ensue. I think you will all enjoy this new turn of events, and I hope you will all stick around to watch it unfold.

I mean seriously...

This is where the whole copyright industry is fucked. We shouldn't be able to copyright an idea if it is already widely used by the public. That's like, I dunno, creating the cure for AIDS, mass producing it and giving it to hospitals all around the world for free, and then copyrighting the distribution of your new AIDS cure. Yeah, bad example, but it gets my point across.

If there's moral outrage about PA and online comics, then that should more than drive home the point of EA and what they're doing. Please god, tell me that people aren't so dense as to not be able to make the connection.

Yeah, I really couldn't believe anyone could believe it... I don't know whether to congratulate the folks at Ctrl-Alt-Del and PA or not... Because the success of the joke relied on utter stupidity

I remember reading that, its seriously how fucking embarassing how stupid some people in this world really are. I mean, Penny Arcade is a comic known for its witty sarcasm, would you expect anything less?
