Halo2..LivE..TaKINg...OVeR..my...LIf.....e......
Halo2 live is my crack, I can't stop playing it. I have never been addicted to any other video game like this EVER! My wife hates it and I'm tired at work! IT'S AFFECTING MY LIFE! I must exercise extreme self control to turn it off at a reasonable hour. IS ANYONE ELSE SUFFERING? I hate it, but I love it. Oh, god, oh no, I HEAR IT CALLING! IT'S ALMOST HERE! NO NO NOOoooooo...... LOL

I beat Halo 2 the other day... was fairly disappointed with the ending (too open-ended) but surprisingly I discovered a day or two later that the single-player replay value is pretty good. My sister was playing and couldn't pass this one section, so I started playing for her, and I ended up playing it for about 2 hours!
My overall biggest complaint about the game, however, is that it's advertised as an "Invation of Earth - Stop teh Aliens!" kind of game, and only the first third or so of the game is that. I really like the Earth-bound levels more than the Covenant/High Charity levels. Although kicking Tartarus' ass was great

I dunno... I spent a year salivating for this game, and they sort of goofed up the presicion that made the first one so great. Multiplayer is just a spray and pray exercise. One caveat, apparently my connection tends to lag- thereby reducing the precise nature of play.
So to answer..No, I'm not really having trouble leaving it alone.

Haven't been able to become addicted since I don't own an Xbox, although I have been able to play it some, my younger brother has an xbox and halo 2, and his xbox is broken so he let me take the game out here to college, and I go play it with my friends, who have an xbox, but no halo2.
But that's a good thing since I doubt I would make it to any of my classes if I did own one.

Mario Kart on the N64 was simply the most addictive MP game I've ever played in my life. My cousin and I would play that damn game for hours on end and never get sick of it. He always picked Yoshi and kicked my ass 70% of the time, I always picked Toad, slow bastard.

Halo 2 is fun multiplayer opinion. I still like the first game better. However, Halo 2 is to the Xbox as what Everquest/mmorpgs is to the PC. Also, it reminds me too much of myth series to play long. I have bad memories have trying to defend comet/sun/moon rankings from people dummying accounts. |
