Winning Eleven? Or Fifa?
My roomie and I have been arguing this. At the time we had Fifa 2003 and WE7. I'm a big, big fan of the WE series, I've played it since it was called Perfect Eleven for the Super Famicom. But, in the end, I was forced to play Fifa 2003 out of pity because I'd just wipe him out on WE and it wasn't fun for me.
But now we have a brand new slate: Winning Eleven 8 and Fifa 2005? What are your guys' thoughts? I've played both a bit so far, and it seems that Fifa is getting closer and closer to looking exactly like WE. If you pick one, please state a reason, a part to the game that is superior, something like that. |
Winning Eleven/Pro Evo is miles better than FIFA, more realism, more moves, and the Master League mode.
It may not have all the bells and whistles of the official licences, but gameplay wise it's lightyears ahead. |
They're both good games.
It all comes down to what you like better. If you like a more arcade style, then FIFA is your choice, but if you like more of a sim, then you can't go wrong with Winning Eleven. |
I haven't had the chance to play FIFA, Though I've played Winning Eleven quite a bit in the summer, when I was in Europe [It was during the euro 2004 and hotels, mcdonalds had consoles set up everywhere].
With winning eleven, though, you can't go wrong on that. |
im currently playing Winning Eleven 7 waiting until the UA release of Winning Eleven 8. As a looooong time fifa player (since 94) I can honestly say the Winning Eleven series is far superior to FIFA as far as a more 'realistic' soccer game. in Winning Eleven you will not see 10-6 games. which i enjoy not seeing :)

The only thing I like about Fifa more than WE is being able to send guys out on "runs." Maybe I just don't know how to in WE, I just know the through pass and the give and go
|
The shot feign is very useful, a well performed one will send the keeper flat on his backside.

I really enjoyed Winning Eleven when I played it, and before that I had never even heard of another soccer game other than FIFA. I'll have to go with FIFA for the fun factor, but both games are great.
