Like an idiot, how do I know people can hear me while playing halo2. I know about the green/red light on the communicator.

Halo 2 they can hear you if you are close to them, or by pushing the white button or up on the D pad you can talk to your team only

Yeah I just bought mine yesterday and can't get people to stop saying, "Where'd you get your mic? The dollar store?"

The headset is nice, if you are chasing someone with the sword and you yell "TURN AROUND" they will hear you, most likely turn around right as you kill them, then talk trash as they can hear you as they are waiting to respawn.

I bought a really nice speakermic thing for XBL so i dont have to be tethered to the controller too much. It's pretty decent too.. Nyko makes it.

That is the stupidest thing ever. Killing with the sword takes very little skill and if you trash talk someone because you killed them with a sword, you're a moron.

Plus if you wait for the person to turn around, you don't get a medal for assassination.

Also when playing team games, pressing the white button will only let teammates hear your or anyone closest to you??? i can never remember, but i mute my mic and just press the white button and talk when i need too.

too bad bungie doesn't keep a record on your gamer tag of all the medals you have been awarded.
