My game of the year is definately Rome: Total War. I've given it a little break to play Half-life 2 and Pirates!, but once I'm finished with them, I'll go right back to playing the shit out of that bitch. Best multiplayer game is Call of Duty: United Offensive.

HL2 is defanitly awesome, but as my computer sucks and cant run it that well I play it for short burts at a time. But it still gets my win!
And Im dying to play WoW, the only thing is that whole pay-to-play. On a side note, if people hack your accounts in WoW what happens? you get your stuff back or is it shit-outta-luck for you? Because if I pay even 10cents a month on a game and I loose my character cause some dipshit out there is too lazy to make his own I am going to be very cheesed. |

Ninja Gaiden was my favorite this year. Just incredible.
Halo 2- since it took away the feeling of precision that made the first one so damn good, I give that the biggest disappointment of the year.

I haven't had a chance to play HL2, KOTOR 2, R&C 3, or even my beloved Metroid Prime 2 yet. So they would probably be on my list if I had played them.
Console 1. Halo 2 2. GTA: San Andreas 3. MGS 3 4. Burnout 3 5. Ninja Gaiden PC 1. World of Warcraft 2. Battlefield Vietnam 3. Doom 3 -Lasereth

I really dont think that i eencountered a game this year that blew me away this year. This being said here are my picks for games that i simply enjoyed the most.
Console. 1. Halo 2 ( live play being most of the reason for this) 2. Burnout 3 ( great game but in my opinion multiplayer dissapointed) 3. Ninja Gaiden ( all around good game but not as good as the ones above) PC. (not a very big Pc gamer other than FPS so with that in mind...) 1. Half-Life 2 2. UT2004 3. Far-Cry |

Wow, The Suffering made your list. By any chance have you beaten the game with all three endings? I ask because I have only completed it on the good ending and would like to veiw the other two endings as well, but I just don't have the patience to beat the game two more times. Is it worth it Powerclown? And if so, do you know of any websites which post game endings by any chance?

I only spent a little time with a pal's copy of Ninja Gaiden. I liked what I saw, but I can't include it. Likewise with Metroid Prime 2, which I haven't picked up at all.
All that being said.... 1 - Splinter Cel: Pandora Tomorrow (Just a fantastic game on so many different levels) 2 - Halo 2 (Nice progression from the first game and although a bit short still pretty solid) 3 - Kotor 2: The Sith Lords (Not as good as the first and lots of unfinished stuff, but overall a pretty good play) 4 - Paper Mario 2 (cutesy, but a fine way to kill some time ) I should be getting my hands on Ratchet and Clank 3 over the holidays. I mention this because I had such a good time with 1 & 2. I expect Up your arsenal to be just as good as the first two and based on that assumption, it would probably make my list.

I admit, I was looking forward to it, after having loved the first ones. But a shitty game is still a shitty game. But unfortunately I cannot afford to buy any game I want. I go on solid review scores or friend recommendations before buying. This latest incarnation of LSL had neither. Maybe when it's priced at $10 or less I'll try it. |

I pick Half-life 2. I thought it pushed the level of immersion in games to a whole new, umm...leve. Yay for gravity. Too bad it didn't have the same enemy AI as Farcry. Then I would have raved way more. I'm sure a game that combines both the physics of HL2 with the AI of Farcry will blindside us sometime in 2005.
Half-life 2 also gets my vote because they, unlike Farcry and Doom3, didn't forget about the little guy with the mid-range system. It runs great on my Athlon 2600XP/ Ati Radeon 9200.

Metal Gear Solid 3 for me. Such a great game, gives me the feeling I had when I played the first Metal Gear Solid for the first time. X Men Legends gets my Runner-Up vote for the simple fact that I found it so damn fun to play, lol.
