A Half-Life:2 movie I made

This is a neat trick I learned in HL2:DeathMatch. I took a few clips and put them together with some music. It's the first video I've ever tried to make in my 6 years of playing Half-Life games (counter-strike, team fortress etc...) so let me know what you think about it.

dude that was a sweet trick, liked the video. played that map before but i dont remember the sign being there anywhere. did you have any cheats on. what map was that i cant remember

Ok, maybe I'm a moron, but how the hell do I get that thing to open? I tried realplayer, Windows Media and Quicktime to no avail.

Hey pippepin, can you elaborate on what you're doing there? It looks like you're using the primary fire on the gravity gun on that sign. I just want to clarify because I couldn't seem to reproduce it when I tried. Does it need to be that sign? Also, does that only work that map? Or can that be done in the single player game as well?

Frosstbyte, use Winrar to first open the file, then extract out the movie.

That is really cool, I actually havent played HL2 in about 2 weeks and I bought it the day it came out, Im only like 3 hours into it, damn I gotta crack down and win it!

sorry i haven't checked this thread in a while. the map is dm_overwatch. the sign is hanging above the little room with the glass windows where the crossbow is. this trick only works in online servers and it works in some servers better than others. basically..all you have to do is run across the sign and it accelarates you. you can jump at a certain point or use the gravity gun to get some air. but in all the clips in that video all i did was run across the sign and use the little hill as a ramp to throw me into the air.
