We're still in Bleeding Hollow but we might switch to another if they allow it. We'll update this thread if we plan on switching to a lower populated server. The only downside with switching to another server is the loss of an incredible economy on Bleeding Hollow.

I my self love Khadgar, good sized population with little if ever downtime.

Its usually up within 30 min of the stated maintence times, little to no lag. (Except for IF of course...)

And friendly

For some reason I thought that the economy would be bad on a really high population server. Well at least for the people just starting out who don't have many items. However I've been on Mal'Ganis for a bit now and have seen the economy change pretty drastically just within the time I've played. Simple things like stacks of 20 linen cloth used to sell immediately with a buyout of ~40s. Now I can only get them sold quick by undercutting everyone at around 18s. Lately I've just been making quick cash here and there selling elixir of defense pots for ~48s buyout.

This is definately true, Ever. When I was a newbie and the server was a week old, you could name your price for stacks of linen, light leather, or copper. Now they're worth much less as the great bulk of crafters who once wanted them to get their crafting ranks up no longer need them.

The hunter skill-set and style matches very well with what I want to do, but I feel like I'm dragging on groups because I don't know how to use those skills as well as I might. Any advice?
For early instances and grouping, hunters are not the best, though they are pretty decent with frost traps, a pet to offtank and good damage. That being said, hunters are the hot class at the moment for high end encounters, good ranged damage is at a premium and they are indespensable for that reason.

Once you hit 50 or so, making gold doesn't take very long at all. That's not to say 900 G isn't a lot, but it's definitely doable. Just don't buy anything for a while.

Undead epic mounts are worth 900g because they look so fucking cool. ALL of the Alliance epic mounts look stupid.

Oh, and regular mounts travel 60% faster than run speed and epic mounts travel 100% faster than run speed. A pretty significant speed increase if ya ask me. I'm not buying one because the extra speed isn't worth it to me -- especially since the Alliance epic mounts look stupid. If I were undead, I'd start saving at 50 for one.

Yeah, now that I think about it, 1g isn't really hard to come by anymore, and I'm only lv 23. Many of the humanoids I fight drop nearly 1 silver.. plus I can pickpocket. It doesn't take long for it all to add up.

I had a TON of 20-stacked Briarthorns that I've sold on the AH for 1-2g per pop. Gotta love herbalism.

Man, briar thorn like that might go at most for 50s on my server .

Anyone know what the Tauren epic mount looks like?

That's one of the main reasons I don't want to switch servers. Briarthorn really does sell for over 1g per stack on our server. Other trade items like bars and cloth sell for tons as well. I don't want to lose the economy of a massive server but I DO want to lose the lag associated with it!

I'd heard from a few friends that only undead epic mounts are currently modeled differently with plans to implement the others in the coming months. Were they just feeding me bullshit or is that actually true?

It's true, the undead mount has awesome looking particle effects around it etc. Everyone else just gets a mount with a slightly different color, pretty weak.

The Alliance epic mounts do look different (they're albino-ish), but it's nothing compared to how awesome the Undead mounts look. I hope they are implementing new Alliance models in the future because right now it's not worth it!

So things go for more on a higher-populated server? That's odd because in economies, prices usually drop when there's more people involved because more people would be picking Briarthorn, thus they would all be undercutting eachother to sell it and it would drive the prices down. That, or the spawn time is the same so it's rarer to come by because so many people are in the world to be picking it....

Anyone have any suggestions for a good low/medium PVP server? I'm starting a new character with a group of friends and we're having trouble finding one with the right number of people on it. When we started up on Blackrock earlier today, it was listed as medium, but we tried to get in just now with queue lines of 300+ and a high rating. Little help finding one that has a consistently lower population would be great. Thanks in advance.

I'm on Mal'Ganis, a PVP, medium-population server somewhere in the Alabama timezone. I've never seen it be "down" for whatever reason, and I've never once waited in a line. I think there's a little more horde than alliance. The economy is good, but it's the only server besides the open beta that I've played on so I have nothing to compare it to.

The spawn time stays the same. Briarthorn is used in Swiftness potions which are really marketable. Briarthorn is also pretty rare even though it's a low level herbalism herb. There's simply a lot of demand for it from people who are loaded.

I started again on Feathermoon with a Hunter some time last week, now at level 24.

I can't believe it but I went to StoneTalon for the first time today... this is after having the game for about 2-3 months... For some reason I thought it was a way too high level of a place... I'm there cleaning up like you wouldn't believe! At this rate when I hop on again tomorrow morning I'll be at level 25 in 30 min.

no way.. that'd make one global economy instead of a server side economy. Making those who play on lower populated servers get the low rates of a highly populated server.. at which point there would be no difference soon there after. More importantly though, you could just farm all day in a Non-PVP server amassing loot and money where you would be in the middle of Nuetral Badlands in a PvP server... which would be defeating the point and unfair.

Depends on your play time.I think it took me a month and a couple days to hit 60(I ran out of quests to do, so had to scrounge up enough to level).I'm sure it can be done in alot less time, simply based on how people play.I have alot of play time, so I'm not sure how it works for everyone else.Someone hardcore enough could probably pull it off in a week or two.

I have a 60 paladin and a 36 mage on dethecus. I only use my paladin when my mage gets ganked as revenge. Paladin is, hands down, the most boring class of them all. I don't even bother instancing with the paladin. It's dreadfully boring.
