the original vampire: the masquerade was a decent game built upon one of the most glorious multiplayer engine's I've ever dealt with.
I didn't ever buy this game because of that lack of multiplayer. I'll buy it when it's in a bargain bin somewhere. :P |

I know I'm sorta dragging up an old thread, but I couldn't help myself.
I was completely in love with this game even before I owned it. Seriously. I absolutely love the storyline, the different endings, the character interactions... everything. My computer isn't the greatest, but the game was still runnable... I'm good at ignoring stutters, especially when I love the game. And believe me, I love this game... so I'm willing to put up with all the stutters and 10 second freezes I'll get in some places, just to play the game again and again. The first time I played, I chose the female Malkavian. I'll tell you what, I was amused to no ends by some of the dialogue options and reactions you'd get. "Oh damn, you're a fucking Malkavian! Ahaha!" It was great. I remember an option where I got to convince someone I was a turtle they'd flushed down their toilet when they were a kid. Not to mention, the Malkavian female is probably the most attractive character you can play. It was fun playing a seductive crazy woman. |

Yeah, this game is really awesome. My last two posts on this thread complained about bad framerates, but once I upgraded my comp I didn't have any problems. I'm running an amd64 3700, geforce 6600GT, 1gig of ram, and the game runs fine now. It really helped me appreciate the game a lot more.
I played through the game as a male Toreador... max level celerity is awesome. |

Heh, a lot of the dialogue changes when you play a female character. Stats like seduction are a lot more useful for female characters, because there are a lot more male NPC's in the game to seduce than female NPC's. On top of that, I've noticed that females have a better chance of seducing other females than males having a chance of seducing other males.

I don't mind though, because it's just a game, and I still have fun... even if there is only one guy I know of that you can have any real fun with. |
