Question about Halo 2 on Xbox Live.
OK, so I have a question. I searched for this and couldn't find exactly what I wanted. So if anyone recognizes this topic, please just re-direct me and have the thread closed. Thanks. This may be a stupid question, I am not new to Halo, but am very new to Live, so please take it in stride.
Here's the problem. My friends and I have all bought Halo 2. We wanted to play Xbox Live. However, only one of my friends has DSL. So we opened an account at his house. But whenever we try to all join a Team game(outside of party invites and such) it won't allow it, saying guests aren't allowed in ranked games. I understand that much, but my question is, is there no way we can just make new tags under one account (similar to making new characters on Diablo 2)? That way we can all have profiles under this account and play together in ranked team games. It just seems completely unfair to me that they would make you pay the entire fee for every separate name. For instance, my friend that has DSL lives with his two brothers, and they all have the same Xbox, but would have to pay three bills to all have their own profiles? That just doesn't seem right. Also, we haven't been able to populate our Friends list very well yet, and that is the only way we can play, by checking our Friends list and doing party games, which is quite a headache, and we'd also like to broaden our horizons. It would be so much better if there was some solution to the above problem. I appreciate your help and suggestions, and if it is NOT possible to make separate tags, I hope you won't mind if we add you to our Friends list so we can play party games or something every now and then. (I have found the thread in which people post their tags, so you do not have to repost them.) Our tag is BarlowBoys. Thanks very much.

Hopefully Im understanding the question right... You can only sign on to 1 gamertag on 1 xbox at any given time. So you could possibly transfer all your accounts over to that one but only one of you would be able to play on your account at a time. Also, if you want to play some of the big team battle games all you need to do is go to the training grounds - you can play games with guests in there, as they're not ranked.
Hope it helps! |

Yes I think that it helps. However I cannot test it here, I am not at my friend's house. Thank you nonetheless.
