how do you beat gannon in zelda (nes)

Its the age old question. How do you beat Gannon? i cant freakin beat him. im pretty sure i have all the items. Anyone know?

all i can figure is that you are lacking the silver arrows.. One hit and he dies.

Yes must have silver arrow. Isn't it in the final dungeon? You have to find it in there.

Best bet is to stand right in the middle of the screen and aim down to the bottom, he can't hit you when you stand there.

ahh, the silver arrows... thats what i need. i guess i just got tired of searching around that level

just for your information, the silver arrows are indeed in the final dungeon... I believe (can't remember exactly) they are near the left, middle part of the dungeon (the red ring is top right i think).

but they are found in the 9th dungeon.
