man contra is so good! i actually just bought all 3 nes contra games off of ebay and i cant seem to get the 30 lives code to work for super C (contra 2)... and also contra 3 (contra force) is like contra mixed with the power up style of gradius

i put in that code every time I played mortal kombat, which was definitely more than contra (mortal kombat was really popular in my group of friends for a long time)

actually now that I think of it, I didn't use the ABACABB code, I used the down, up, left, left, A, right, down at the main menu to get the cheat menu where you can toggle blood mode and a bunch of other stuff

I also used the B, A, down, A, start, start (badass) code in skitchin' a lot to get the special items when you put in certain names
