slightlyold games sites?
 

recently i was referred to a site called home of the underdogs that has a bunch of older and some newer but obscure games available for download...i've been having a ball there checking out different ones, most recently sacrifice (awesome cross between myth:tfl and magic the gathering) and revolt, and i'm still trying and would love to get the terry pratchett games to work. anyway, i wondered if there was a site you all knew about like underdogs with even more selection of stuff 2yrs or more older... stuff thats in or beyond the 5 dollar bargain bin at most stores now. thanks!

These sites have games that are beyond profitability. The term is "abandonware."

thanks for the sites... i was hoping for something a little newer than those.... i guess underdogs is probably the best bet. i wanted to find stuff that was a little more in between being abandoned.... stuff like clive barkers undying and traitor's gate.

Yeah, I hear ya. They either don't carry it or they try to charge $20 for it. They really ought to give the stuff away online, as a promotion. Or charge $5 and let you download it or something. Still, there are a few gems on those sites. You can get Simcity 2000 and Civ 2 Gold.

HOTU is probably the BEST site on the internet for older games like that....and if you can find one, the people at the forums will help you track it down, of course, they'll track it down for sale, for you.
