DS or PSP?

Which one will you pick up?
Wondering on the opinions of the forum.
I am leaning toward the DS.

I like games that are more geared towards the adult market. If I get one, it will be a PSP.

Well Nintendo has allready set a launch date and the price at 149.00 that and it can play gba games so that a big plus.

A lot depends on the price the psp launches at and how long it takes to get to market after the DS.

I'm getting the DS because I have a ton of great gba games allready.

Where is the both or neither option? I'll probably get both as soon as I have extra money.

Definately the DS. I like the idea ofa touch screen, and for mobile gaming I don't think there's much that beats Mario - which is obviously a nintendo exclusive.

PSP - The word is that it will be $185-199. I will probably use the movie feature as well which is a big selling point. With all the features and game lineup, the PSP is the definite way to go for me.

For a handheld? Isn't that kinda defeating the purpose?...I guess if ya ran it on a Ipaq.

I've always like Nintendo titles, and I love Metroid Prime, so I'd go for the DS.

But I don't travel much, or take the bus anymore... a handheld wouldn't get much use from me.

There are a bunch of links that popped up yesterday pointing to a under $200 price tag.

Heres the slashdot article...

both......first the PSP though because i bought a GBA Advance not too long ago. The DS looks ugly to me though and has a tiny screen.

edit: wow that is a good price, and stuff is usually much more expensive in Japan than here. Does the PSP run on lithium ion batteries? like the GBA Advance? Because it would be nice not to have to replace batteries.

You obviously have never played handheld games via emulators, they run so much smoother (providing you don't have a shitty PC), and you don't have to be huddled over a tiny screen.

At the moment, neither. I want to see how the market shapes up, and what is available for each platform.

I agree, I know the DS will be good and will have good software support. The PSP I'm iffy on, but I'll take a look a little down the road. So my answer is: probably both.

Like I said in another thread, I'll buy the PSP if GTA: SA comes out.

As for the DS, I'm buying 2. One for me, and one for ebay.
