CS:S anyone?
 

I just want to know if any TFPers have preordered HL2 over steam yet. You get CS:S when you pre-order over steam.
You can download steam from here .

You can get the bronze package with HL2 and CS:S.

You can get the silver package with HL2, CS:S, DOD:S, HL:S, and Valve's older stuff.

Last option is a gold package with includes everything in silver and three HL2 posters, soundtrack, hat, sticker, postcard, stat. guide, and chance to win trip to valve (fanboy option).

The graphics are amazing. All the gernades have been improved. It still has a Counter-Strike feel but once you play it you can't go back to normal CS.

Well I got it as soon as it was available and it's owned me since.

I stated playing CS since the begining but I stopped after beta .6 That's when the lamer factor started getting high and I didnt' like some of the weapon accuracy.

This version is so sweet!! I can use just about any weapon with accuracy and the lame factor is lower than 1.6. The physics engine makes things much more fun as well. Office is a great map and so are the models. It runs great on my rig as well.

I just can't wait till HL2 comes out now. I'm hoping that if it's delay in court that they will release DoD:Source in the meantime. I think that one will be much more fun :D

yeah..they should release hl1:s now so when they finally release hl2 I'll have finished hl1 source...

and I'm still annoyed at them over them showing the linux community no respect (we run servers...they don't throw us a bone like epic or id)

but I must say....hl2 looks like one hell of a game. damn them :P

I'm continually torn between my wish to start playing CS:S NOW, and my complete loathing of not having a hardcopy of the disk. However there are rumors of a going gold confirmation on Monday, so maybe all hope isn't lost.

BTW, I plan on buying the collectors addition in the store. I'll prolly buy add-ons like DoD:S on Steam when they come out, but I really have to have a hard copy of the actual game. THe CE is nice too because it comes on a DVD, which is soo much more convienent than like 6 discs.

i've been playing cs:s since it came out, but ive been playing a warez since im waiting for the hard copy to come out to stores because i want the cd. it is awesome. there are several bugs and some of them are really bad...like a very easily exploitable bug that causes a server to crash. besides the bugs the game is very fun.

guns to try....para is probably the best gun in the game now, silenced usp is nice

the weapon balancing vs price is a lot better now.

I have the game but I'm still playing 1.6. The competetive community is yet to switch to cs:s with competitions and leagues still using 1.6. Therefore I've only played a few minutes of cs:s (though I played the beta alot longer). When inferno, nuke and train are released I expect the community to gradually switch over (this depends on what the CPL, WCG and other major leagues and competitions do).

At least now with the recent server crash fix, and see-thru-wall command removed, it will help increase chances of CPL and etc move over. That was a bit factor since they could not prove if somone was using the command or not.

Just a warning for when you do play CS:S more, the F10 jokes are old. (Button used to bring up in game hacks, don't believe me try it while ingame.)
