I just read the offical Xbox forums on Xbox.com. I also subscribe to Official Xbox Magazine. The demos that come with it are enough to get me past buying some games. Probably not what they intend but it works. Their reviews seem to be pretty fair too. I've never been burned by an editors choice game.

Anyway, welcome to the Xbox world. It is a great machine.

Are you talking about playing Xbox online or just in general? I play Xbox Live quite a bit and hang with a group called AGE. We play Live games together a lot along with some PC gaming etc. Xbox.com forums are usually full of flamers and people who tend to be just plain assholes as far as I can tell (I finally stopped going there.)
