I chose WC3 since it's the only Blizzard game I played. But I really want to play WoW when it comes out.

hahaha Blizzard isn't overrated (sometimes I wonder if people know what overrated means..)

That's like saying Id software or Square-Enix is overrated. Even their WORST titles hit #1 and become best-sellers.

If each game you release goes straight to #1, stays there for quite some time, and even becomes game of the year to MANY different sources, then, flat out, you are one of the best. The end. No questions about it, really. Might not be your cup o tea, but certainly doesn't mean they're overrated

Anyway, I have to say War3 or D2.

I've been playing StarCraft for years (I'm justwill). I love it and I'll continue to play it until I find something I like more. I haven't yet.
SC2, which is still in the rumor only stages, would be nice. I really couldn't say if they'll do it, though.

I know its not on the poll but I'm gonna make an exception . I'd have to say that World of Warcraft is by far their best game yet. It is so incredibly fun, it may even be my favorite game yet, the world is so rich, the gameplay is so amazing. GREAT GAME!!!

My enitre floor of my dorm played starcraft when it came out, only a few of made it to graduation cause of that game Diablo 2 was pretty sweet and I put way to many hours into that game, but nothing beats the sound of SIEGE TANKS going into seige mode directly outside your base... And I agree the new WarHammer game was pretty sweet and great game for those who stopped playing starcraft, but Blizzard over-rated, please...

Sorry if my opinion pisses all you fanboys off, but it's what I believe. I don't care if a game is a best seller. The Sims franchise is probably the best selling of all time, and I think they are boring and pointless. I'm not saying Blizzard makes bad games, far from it. I played Starcraft and Diablo. I liked both, they were good games. But to claim it's the best company ever, then get all defensive when I disagree is silly. My issue with it is that people treat Blizzard like gods. It's just sad to see people lombotomized by the video game hype machine. The way I see it, it's similar to the idolization of pop music stars. But I get the feeling I'm wasting my time here...

I voted for wc3 because I played that one the most and beat myself up to get to the top of the ladders. Perhaps I should have said SC because I didn't take it as seriously and as such, probably had more fun. Oh well, there's always WoW to crush them both and sap away my life some more

Diablo II, Its one of the first I um .....cheated at *shame*, I found a great save game editor and had way to much fun making uber items. this unfortunatley ruined (closed)battle.net for me. I got to used to be unstopable, to have that stripped away was unacceptable! jk, I did go through the entire game before I edited it ...I swear.

I think ill take the same stand on war3 and hope that starcraft 2 has the same effect when it comes out

Single Player: Diablo 2 - Lots to do. I never played the multiplayer side though unfortunately.
On a Lan: Starcraft - We had it installed on the school PCs and they let us play it every thursday night. Nothing cooler than 4 mates having a round. Cept when they start adding "Don't attack me yet". Always fun when they forget your there and you bring all your ships out to suprise them...

I have to say Warcraft II for nostalgia purposes. So much fun playing that game, as well as making maps, which was very, very easy, especially for someone my age (I guess I was about 11-12 at this time).

you're right, blizzard games are hyped to no end. but in the end, you can't deny that they deliver, so no real problem, games like FF11? yea pretty hyped, but turns out it wasn't that great of a game. know what I'm pointing at? dunno why but can't really explain what i'm trying to say.

Gotta be Warcraft one and two. I think they went downhill with three, mainly because I liked the massive army battles, and I don't like how three made it into more squad fighting with the heroes.

I didn't enjoy warcraft. It seemed like a real pain starting off, you just sat there waiting for the resources to pile up until you bought something else. A game like Red Alert 2 was much more fast paced and enjoyable.

I wouldn't say StarCraft was perfect, the multiplayer computer opponents were appalling, too hard to beat. The single player campaign seemed a little iffy too.

These are peoples opinions. Everyone likes the games they like. My wife loves the sims games and I can't stand them. I like Starcraft and Warcraft but don't really care much for Diablo. But so what?

I didn't see where anyone got defensive, albeit I didn't read every thread, other than when you had to throw in the "fanboys" and the "It's sad to see people lobotomized....." comments.

This was a thread about what was/is the FAVORITE FORUM blizzard game.

I will go with Diablo 2/LOD. Personally, Starcraft is my least favorite blizzard game. It bores me to the point of frustration. I honestly think it is my least favorite RTS. Then again, I am probably saying this because I suck at it, but GOOD LORD. It pales in comparison to Rise of Nations and the old Age of Empires games.

Definately Starcraft/Brood War, though WC/WC II/Expansion are a close second. WC III has too much emphasis on micromanagement for my tastes. DIablo II was my favorite until they deleted my character due to inactivity.

Just wanted to point out that many other game makers must see something in Blizzard. How many different Diablo knock-offs have there been? Blizzard is considered to be one of the best cuz they start the trends.

And I voted WC3, but it was definitely a tough choice Diablo 2, WC2, and SCBW are all right up there on my list.
