X Box malfunctioning!!!
I have been having trouble with my X box for a while. What happens is that it doesn't want to recognize my discs sometimes or the load time is SLOW!! I just beat Fable and I am watching the credits roll, and guess what I said it didnt recognize the disc in the drive. It also does it to me on RSC2. Would taking it out to the garage and blowing it out help? Any Ideas on what to do. I am ready to pitch this bad boy!!!!! Damn I am so MAD!!!

i had the same problem with my x-box. depending on who made your DVD drive for your xbox, it could be on its way out. microsoft hired three different manufacturers for their DVD drives, and the thomson drive is notorious for going out. you can get it fixed, though, so contact microsoft. if its within the warranty's life span, it's free. if not, it'll cost more to fix it (through microsoft) than it will to buy a new one. its a pain, i know. i ended up buying a new one and selling my broken one.
there are guys on the web who buy broken xboxs and refurbish them. you should find them (i found a guy on eBay who does it) and see if they can put in a new drive for you. i hear its tricky to do, so i wouldnt do it unless you know how the xbox is setup. |
