Unreal Tournament 2004 Problem
 

Just bought and it plays fine like the game a lot.
But I can't play online, I just get a blank screen that I have to reboot to get out of.

I am running XP home SP1.

Anybody got any ideas?

Do you have a firewall or router blocking your ports that UT is trying to get out on?

Norton Firewall but I wouldn't want to turn it off would I?

When I was playing with Zone Alarm running, it would pop up a confirmation window behind the UT screen, where I couldn't see it. I had to go into the Zone Alarm setting and set it so that UT had access, and it wouldn't have to ask for confirmation any more. Any chance that Norton is doing the same thing?

Err, I don't use Norton's Firewall. However, if you poke through the settings you should fine a screen that says which programs are allowed to access the Internet. You need to allow UT2K4 access to the net. You are probably getting a confirmation screen, but it's not being shown for whatever reason.

That was it, had to configure Norton. damn thing...lol

Works like a champ, great game online now too
