It's a very good game, but also a very different game.
Just to be clear, you order troops and give them "general targeting" areas to fire upon, but you don't directly control a soldier at any time in the game. You are the "Commander from the sky," in that you issue orders for your troops on the ground to act out. If you are aware of that, and understand that this game is not a first-person shooter, then you will probably enjoy the game. It's very well done, and also is quite difficult. I recommend playing on the harder difficulty the first time through, just in case you only play through once. Just be sure you know what you are getting into. This is more of a strategy game than it is an action packed shooter. Your job throughout the entire game will be to issue 2 groups of troops orders; they will then act them out, but they are the ones acting out your orders. You also will be presented the opportunity to call in air strikes and recon flyby's, but generally you will always be giving orders and having your troops act out those orders. If you understand and are looking forward to playing a game like that, then FSW is a great game, and succeeds wonderfully. However, if you are looking for a FPS set in a middle eastern setting, you will be letdown, because that isn't what FSW is at all. Take care.

Very good game, don't go in expecting a shooter, its a very strange game at first, but you get used to it. Its also VERY short, easily beaten in 6-8 hours.
