Maybe it is just me, or has anyone noticed the HUGE trend towards being a little pussy and glitching your way through an online sports game? I thought there would be a big change in Madeen this year on the PS2 from what I saw with the NCAA2005 and other things from last year to improve on but NOPE. Plug pullers do not care about a rank they just want the win. A disconnect % means nothing to a moron with nothing else to do but create a new SN everytime they get too high of a disco % or find no one will play them anymore. Rolling out with McNabb or Vick (regardless of what you think) and running 50% of the time IS NOT playing the game of football, neither is using the Vikings and sending Moss on a streak everytime. I am a niners fan (obviously) and WILL use my favorite team time and time again, I know the QB is green the WR suck, and honestly outside of Julian Peterson the defense is SHIT, but I stick with em and will do my damdest with a QB spy or a prevent or ANYTHING I think will work to shut down your bullshit tactics before i just call it quits on you. The rushing attack mode has gotten no better, once everyone learned if you stand in the backfield long enough the CPU controlled defensive players will run to you and get caught up in the pylons letting you run the OPPOSITE direction of the play and score an easy TD most of the time. Now this is not saying to run only to the right or left depending on whichever direction the game gives you as a play, but for Christ's sake if the play is right and you go left everytime and vice versa sit back and watch ANY football on Sat or Sunday and please see the way the game is played before you decide to pick up a controller and waste someones time.

If you want REAL football, you better start with ESPN 2K5. Not Madden.

And get an XBox while you're at it.

Well that's why I've stopped buying games that rely mainly on online play.

Assholes have been cheating ever since games got online. Even as far back as Interstate 76 you had the losers running around with invincible cars that could kill every other car with one shot.

Tribes was awesome and full of promise until people actually started to play, at which point the cheaters took over and now you can't get a decent game in no matter where you look.

I'll stick to the non-online games. At least there the only one cheating is me

imo and many others, as far as football regardless of whatever game steps up each year, Madden offers THE BEST sim football game around. The graphics are top notch, the gameplay and feel of the game is smooth and polished, the franchise modes are sickening deep. I heard 2k5 did a WONDERFUL job improving all the above areas this year not to mention the $20 price point is a real seller and hopefully they can unseat Madden forcing EA/Tiburon back to the drawing board to make the best even better.

As far as the Xbox goes, what about it would make someone not able to cheat as I stated above? Its is just simple stupid things that people abuse in the game itself, I doubt the dynamics of the game would change much between consoles when usually it is just a graphical difference you are getting IF anything. Plus I am MUCH more keen on the free aspect of the game, I played and paid for EQOA and EQOA:Frontiers for over a year on the PS2 and the paying does not discourage griefing/glitching anymore or less than a free service does, so I would much rather get screwed by come buster while not having to pay for my time online.
