lol, are you one of the rare few that actually realizes GC is not a "kiddie" system, and is actually graphically better than PS2 and on par with X-box? It seems like you are, so sure, I will be your friend :D

I agree with both Rdr4evr and Hulk, the GC is a far better system than the PS2 and Xbox fanboys will admit. It has way more selection of "non-kiddie" games than they think, and it's not just aiming for them, it's aiming for anyone who really loves to game.

Seriously, which is more effective, make a system that panders only to kids, or something that EVERYONE can get into. Calling GC a "kiddie" console is just wrong.

I think the GC gets labeled unfairly as a "kiddie system" because it has very few exclusive games that are intended for a mature audience.

But it's these exclusive games that make it such a joy to play. Maybe the new Zelda in the pipeline will change some minds, I know a few of my friends are gonna get one just for it.

The general public seems to be caught up in the PS2 mystique, the X-box is a definite second place, and the GC is a distant third (based strictly on the sales of games and systems).

To put it in terms of %---about 50% of sales are PS items, 30-35% X-Box, and the other 15-20% would be Nintendo sales. Most of the people who buy each kind are die-hard fans for each of the systems they own. If you want true advice, find someone who owns all three and ask them for their honest opinion.

They will probably tell you that each system is very good and has its own +'s and -'s. Each has games that are only available for that system and a person should look at what types of games they like to decide what they want to buy. Personally, I currently have an X-box, but my PS2 and GC is always available (I gave them to my brother and nephew) whenever a particular game I want to play comes out!!!
