EARTHBOUND (the best game ever)
PK-CALL'N 2 - NoA's EB Reminder
This is the combined efforts of Starmen.Net and EarthBound fans everywhere in an attempt to get Nintendo of America's attention so that they will recognize the EarthBound/Mother series popularity. This is all being done in order to persuade Nintendo into bringing the GBA port Mother 1+2 and the future Mother 3 stateside. Starting on Friday, July 16th through Friday, July 23rd we will call Nintendo of America. Their toll free number is 1-800-255-3700 Hit Zero to speak directly to an NoA Representative. Hours of Operation: Monday~Saturday 6AM~9PM PST IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 YOU MUST ASK YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION BEFORE CALLING! Now you are speaking to an NoA Representative. This is the person we have to send our message to. You want to be original and polite in your phone call, but you also want to mention why you are calling. Say something like you read about Mother 1+2 in Nintendo Power, or heard about Mother 3 being released sometime this year in Japan, or have just been a long time fan of the series. But whatever you do please do not mention PK-Call'N 2 or Starmen.Net in your phone call. You want to talk about EarthBound, not promote an event or a web site. You are calling because you want to. ONCE AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT MENTION PK-CALL'N 2 OR STARMEN.NET! This is one of the most effective ways of getting Nintendo's attention as there has been similar acts in the past that have shown positive results. Last year an estimated 500 people called Nintendo of America asking them to port over Zelda: Master Quest. This grabbed Nintendo's attention and it worked! We as EarthBound fans must act together as a group in a professional manner towards Nintendo to gather the respect and attention that we need to make this community effort taken seriously. Every phone call matters! And after your call with NoA, let us know how it went! http://starmen.net/merchandise/pkcalln2/ get the phones ready. |

What on earth is it? When did it come out?
Gotta say I have never heard of this one; but then again I don't own any consoles. Holy crap I just looked up some screens of this. Was this released in the 80's for crying out loud?

it was for snes. It was one of the greatest games for the system too. It still sells for quite a bit on ebay as well. Probably only behind chrono trigger and ff3 in price. If you hurry now you can get the complete package for 90 bucks.

Hm.
To tell you the truth, I never really liked Earth Bound. I've played it through, completely, but it never grabbed me. Afterwards, I felt like I had wasted a bunch of my life. The poor grammar, the annoying music, the crappy graphics... the "plot." I don't know. Maybe I'm just cynical, but I thought it was horrible. |

EWWWWW, I forgot how ugly SNES graphics were without that lovely smoothing effect emulators add to the game. Also, Earthbound is a really fun game, but the boss battles are far too easy, and the common monster battles at the end of the game are far too difficult. Getting hit with Starstorm Omega (2nd most powerful attack magic) every time I encounter a Ghost of Starman (common end game enemy) is not my idea of fun.

I got almost half-way through Earthbound before I decided that I couldn't enjoy it enough to play the rest of it, though the first of it was fun. I'm also a lil' late on the calling thing...but I'll still probably do it to help ya'll out, plus Ness was awesome in SSB (notice I left the M off on purpose).
