Battletech, Do you play?

Now, I'm talking about the Classic Battletch tabletop game, Not the eletronic series or the Mechwarrior Dark Age clicktech game, Just good old Btech, where strategy and knowing the limits of the opponets machine rules the game.

I used to play it a little, should still have a couple of mech sheets and things around somewhere.

I still haul out my battletech stuff on occasion and play with a few friends. I played pretty heavily from '90 (when I was 11) up until about 3 years ago (when I moved away from my gaming group), but still have all my gear. I'm a softie for 3025 tech, and refuse to use anything newer. Plus, it's always fun to kick some clan ass with the oldtech.

Dude, if you can kick a clanners ass with 3025 tech, then you are a damn impressive player.

My group plays Clans, with the cutting edge tech with the year set at 3065

If I'm playing tonnage for tonnage then more often than not I'll take a pounding. If I'm playing using a points system, I've found that my numerical advantage and lack of XL engines can outweigh the deficiency in technology. Plus 2 full lances of locusts are just too much fun to play.

LOL, I'll give you that, and since clan honor won't let more then one mech attack another single mech. It would be a short and quick battle.
