KOTOR Spoiler Needed.

I had recently been playing tons of Knights of the Old Republic. I had gotten to the final battle against Darth Malak and he had sucked the life out of almost every Jedi in those chambers. When he came to the last one he just froze in place. He wouldnt talk move or anything and I could not attack him. I knew it was a stupid bug, so I restarted the final battle again and whenever he came to the same chamber he froze. So I just gave up. I couldnt destroy the chamber because I had no force powers that were able to malfunction the chamber. Thats what I get for using the light side. So could some one please tell me how the light side ending goes. Thank you.

Yeah, KOTOR isn't known for being a bug-free game, that's for sure! Are you playing the XBox version or the PC version? You could take your save to another XBox or PC and play it there (if you had the resources or friends).

I read in a guide that every player was supposed to destroy the chambers when fighting Malak at the end. Of course, I just let him regenerate his health all million times and the fight lasted forever. I never tried attacking the chambers, but I did read that you can do it on both sides. That guide may have been wrong though! Sounds like you need to find a way to get rid of that chamber before he gets there. If you can't find a way, check out www.gamefaqs.com . Good luck!

if you have the ability 'destroy droid,' you can easily disable the chambers. at least, that's what I remember doing.

i used throw lightsaber for the light side.
Don't know how i woulda done it if i didn't have that or destroy droid...

I was a rouge and had to set up dozends of traps on the walkway for the first battle. Then run around the bridge in circles trying to heal, attack and repeat until he was dead.

I have no trouble defeating him, its this glich that stops me from wining. My character does not have destroy droid or through lightsaber.

Have you downloaded the update from the website? Maybe they fixed it.

I only have the Xbox version since my computer is older than sliced bread. I dont have Xbox live either. I would please just like to know what happens at the end. I dont want to replay the entire game.

heh, I didn't even know you could attack the chambers. I *thought* I tried that after the first one with no luck, so I just fought Malak until he had drained all of them, then destroyed him.

I was down to like 2 medpacks. Heh.

Geez, ok, we get it. Here come the spoilers ladies and gents, cover your eyes if'n you haven't played this stellar game, or at least don't want to know the light side ending.

Spoiler: Mega-happy ending starts here. If you played full-on, holier-than-thou-Jedi (which I did) you end up saving Bastila, and having her love. Regardless of whether or not you kill Bastila, the following does happen:

• Malak is teh dead
• The Star Forge is destroyed.
• Malak's army is dispersed, and the galaxy is once again at peace and no longer under the threat of a Sith takeover
• The Jedi are reunited, and you're the fucking hero of the day.
• Typical Star Wars ending ensues, replete with medal awarding, fireworks, and ships flying overhead, then fade to black with legendary SW music.

So that's pretty much what you wanted to know, right Dwayne?

Thank you sooooooooo much!! It sounds like i didnt realy miss anything. Now I can finally sleep now finding out what has happened. Now I cant wait for KOTOR 2!!

I was able to use force powers on the light side as well to defeat him. Malak was easy though, I beat him with the very first short sword you start the game with.

if you're dark side you can use force drain to such the life outr of them, beat him at his own game

What I've wondered is if you played as a female, would you still win Bastilla's love? That would seem freaky in a Lucasarts game.

I think if you play a female, you hook up with Carth. Not sure, but heard that somewhere. Would be nice to get some GG action with Bastilla. Leave Juhani for Canderous.. :)

I played a good jedi to the hilt, but man I killed that bitch Bastilla when I had the chance. All that nagging finally got to me.

I never killed bastilla. As a light jedi I took the love route, as a dark jedi I took her as my apprentice. I figured despite her nagging she would be the best one to have around naked :D
