geeky vieogame confessions
*changed the title of the thread, good idea Deflok
I found the description of me from our old Rogue Spear/Ghost Recon/CS/DoD/Wolfenstein clan. Heh. Classic. It was 4-5 of us, we took it way too seriously "Rune's playing focuses on tactics and strategy. His major roles are: midfield and support, assault sniper, "important kill" guy, objective taker. Rune does generally not recieve the highest kill count, but focuses his shots more on "important" kills, things such as covering a flag carrier, taking out enemy flag carriers, hunting snipers or heavily entrenched enemies, engineers or sappers building mines or repairing important victory locations. Rune is also strong in the mid-field. Preferring to give cover fire to advancing or retreating allies. Rune uses rifles with range and accuracy, but which do not compromise rate of fire or assault ability. Rune is strong as a support unit, and good to help supress, or break out of supression for friendly units, by flanking or adding a seperate field of fire from a further position. Rune is also strong as an "assault" sniper. Moving around the battle field, often deep into enemy territory, brielfy making stops to set up and make kills. The important ability of a rifle in this situation it's ability to switch between scoped and ranged, to regular battlefield use. Not generally strong at long range, or making waited out kills, the assault sniper is one who moves on the battlefield acting almost as a scout. Another important strenth is the ability to move tactically across the field, slip in behind enemy lines and take/destroy or reach an objective. While other allies are busy on the battlefield, Rune might take a roundabout or hidden route. Also good for setting traps, or setting ambushes behind enemy lines or across imporant movement routes to harass the enemy, or give logistical support to allies. Weaknesses: CQB, Rune is weak in close quarter battles, any time close range firefights or circle-strafing may break out, Rune is generally in need of help. Should not be given point duty. Long range: Rune excels in mid range combat, but as with close-quarters is weak as a long range fighter. The role of sniper should be given to someone else." It means if I find you in a game, I run up to you and use the "punch" command, as you're no good at that.

Hey Rune, just so you know, you might already know, but I'll tell ya anyway. You know real guns? Well in real-life they can kill people. For real. Ok? Cool, game and reality, not the same. Just so ya know. Cool.
In a geeky sort of way that's actually some cool shit man. My geeky confession is that when I play Team Based DM in UT2004 depending on which colour team I'm on I'll change the colour of my headset earpieces (they're interchangeable). Geeky Confessions... might be a thread worth starting, only I'm too lazy. |
